I was a young adult in the 1990's and I wouldn't not share the authors perspective that "it was a sign of sophistication to like Marilyn Manson." Manson was telling us who he was in his music videos, his lyrics, his attitude and his behavior. I remember shaking my head at my peers and being keeingly aware of his depravity. Manson was always "chilling".
